What is the difference between Cosmetic Tattooing & Microblading?

Eyebrow tattooing is performed with a machine, and the hair-like strokes are thicker creating a soft powdery look, and usually last 3 years. With microblading a microblade pen is used, which makes the hair-like strokes thinner, however, the ink is not placed as deep underneath the skin as cosmetic tattooing, therefore, it usually lasts 12 months. The life span of both will depend on your sun exposure and the types of exfoliating products used.

Sometimes it is recommended to use both techniques.

What is the difference between Eyebrow Design & Eyebrow Fill-In?

Eyebrow Design is for someone who has lost most of their eyebrows, and Eyebrow Fill-In is for someone who wants to enhance their existing brow.

Will my brows look natural?

With Cosmetic Tattooing and Microblading, hair-like strokes are drawn on to create a natural look that is more natural-looking than your eyebrow pencil or powder.

How painful are these procedures?

Because Cosmetic Tattooing goes deeper into the skin, so there is some discomfort, while Microblading does not go into the skin as deep, therefore, there is very little discomfort.  For both procedures, the area is numbed for 20 minutes before the procedure to ease the discomfort.

How long does Cosmetic Tattooing & Microblading take to heal?

It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.

How do I care for the treated area after my procedure?

Do not wash the area on the day of and the day following the procedure.  Wash with a mild soapy cleanser and warm water each morning and evening for 14 days or until the area has healed. Apply ointment to the area for 5 – 7 days often throughout the day and night. Avoid direct sunlight and exfoliating products. Do NOT pick as it begins to flake during the healing process. Do NOT scratch or touch the area. Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and ocean water.

How to Prepare for Your Procedure

If you regularly shape your brows by tweezing, shaving, threading, or waxing, you should do so a few days before your appointment. Stop taking any blood-thinning products 3-5 days before (e.g. aspirin, alcohol, fish oils.) Wear your eyebrow makeup for style evaluation and bring it with you for color matching.

What to Expect After Your Procedure

Your new eyebrows will be darker than you want for several days, unfortunately, there is no way around that! There will be some mild swelling and redness that will clear in a day or two. The color will lighten during the first week, then gradually soften and stabilize over a few weeks.

Your Safety Matters!

With Cosmetic Tattooing and Microblading, a disposable sterile needle and casing are used with each client. We guarantee with each procedure the highest level of sanitation, precaution, and safety guidelines are implemented.
