What is PlasmaLift Fibroblast Skin Tightening?

PlasmaLift Fibroblast Skin Tightening is a revolutionary cosmetic treatment which offers an alternative to invasive procedures.  PlasmaLift delivers results which rival surgical procedures, but with minimal recovery time and without having to go under the knife.

In our youth, we have a large quantity of structural proteins such as collagen and elastin.  These proteins help skin from stretching, sagging, and wrinkling.  As we age, and with environmental factors such as sun and pollution, our bodies produce less of these structural proteins, which results in flaccid and wrinkled skin.  PlasmaLift creates a response within the body to increase the production of these structural proteins, resulting in firmer, tighter, skin and a reduction of lines and wrinkles.

PlasmaLift targets fibroblasts, which are cells in connective tissue that secrete collagen and other fibers; they play an important role in helping wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness.

PlasmaLift is a low-risk, minimally invasive, non-surgical, cosmetic skin treatment that improves wrinkles, tone, and texture of the skin, and minimizes excessive or sagging skin thereby, tightening and shrinking excess skin.

PlasmaLift produces a thermal heat source using the voltaric arch; along with this the thermal heat then “excites” the fibroblast cells.  The initiation of the activation of the fibroblast cells is what creates deeper penetration and less damage to the epidermis because it is done in a controlled manner, hence why it is a procedure that is safe when performed by a certified technician.

PlasmaLift Skin Tightening is highly effective in treating:

Forehead Lines

Crow’s Feet

Hooded Eyelids

Baggy Lower Eyelids

Lip Lines

Flaccid Jowls

Neck Lines & Sagging

Scars or Stretch Marks

Loose Stomach Skin

Saggy Knees

How may PlasmaLift treatments will I need?

During your consultation you and your technician will analysis and determine how many treatments you will need to give you your desired results.  Some people are happy with their results after one treatment, while others may need 2 to 3 treatments to achieve the results they are looking for.  Additional treatments can be done 6 to 8 weeks following a treatment.

When will I see results?

You will immediately see results, but results will be even more noticeable at 4 weeks with continuing improvement up to 3 months.

Is PlasmaLift painful?

A topical numbing agent is applied to the area, which reduces the discomfort.  Most people experience a mild zinging sensation.  The treatment involves repeated tiny dots to the skin with the plasma device, so no one area is subject to the sensation for long.  The treated area typically feels tender like a sunburn for a day or two.

What do I need to do prior to my PlasmaLift treatment?

To safely treat with PlasmaLift, strict sunblock and UV avoidance must be practiced for a minimum of 2 weeks.  You must avoid coffee and alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.  Do not wear any perfume on the area the day of your treatment.  All chemical exfoliants such as AHA, BHA, and Retinoids must be avoided on the treated area for a minimum of 14 days prior to your treatment.

What do I need to bring/wear to my appointment?

If you are having treatment on your face, you will need a wide brim hat and sunglasses.  For treatment on your body, you will need loose cotton clothing.

What is the downtime with PlasmaLift?

Every person heals differently, so your downtime depends on how well you heal.  The plasma flash causes tiny, carbonized crusts on the skin giving a distinctive dotting effect.  You will also experience swelling in the area for a few days.  The crusts will begin to slough off between 5 to 7 days.  Once the crusts fall off, the skin will be pink for a few weeks, this can be covered up with a mineral makeup.  You will need to stay out of direct sunlight during the healing phase.

What is the aftercare for PlasmaLift?

You will be given instructions and products to care for the area that was treated.  Colloidal Silver spray is used on the area while the crusts are present, then once the crusts slough off, you will use Mederma cream with SPF.  You will also be given a gentle cleanser to wash the area with.

Can anyone have PlasmaLift?

PlasmaLift cannot be performed safely on skin that has a lot of pigment or is prone to hyper or hypopigmentation.
